This was a great month for me to be artistic and enjoy drawing again. Thanks for all the support and encouragement throughout.
I will finish up with a wonderful monster from the mind of Miyazaki: Totoro Trick r Treating.

Well, I didn't draw a Cyclops from the X-Men last month, but I sure as hell was going to draw one this month!

The actual Alien is pretty cool but not as creepy and weird as the Facehuggerin my estimation. Quick drawing based on Walt Simonson's version for Heavy Metal Magazine.

Okay, this is the one I wanted to do yesterday that ended up in the trash. I gave it another shot today and I'm happy with this one.  SWAMP THING #10 scarred and scared the bejezzus out of me when I was 8 years old even though I was indoctrinated by all things scary by that point. Thank you Berni Wrightson.

After two crappy drawings of other subjects and rumpling and tossing, I drew this guy sort of in frustration. I grew up with Berni Wrightson's Swamp Thing, though I like the Alan Moore stuff, I have a soft spot in my heart for the early stuff.

Intermission - Discovered Tick Drawing!

The wife and I have been watching The Tick live action on Netflix streaming and I remembered a drawing I did for a co-worker at the P.O.
He has had it up in his locker since 1991, so I grabbed it and scanned it.
Funny how my style hasn't changed that much since.

I know it's the wrong holiday, but the scariest thing to me when I was 4 was BUMBLE.
I had to leave the room when Bumble crested on the mountains and roared, but once he was in the light and having tooth problems I was okay. I'm going to hit the early scariest images in the next few days.

October 1st... It Begins.

The EOC monthly challenge is monsters. I will be doing as much as possible, posting all sketches and hopefully producing fully realized drawings. This is my favorite time of year!
